Elastic in Spain is seeking a Senior Software Developer for the Elasticsearch - Search Relevance team. You will contribute to the technical direction, implement new search features, and work on fast, scalable Java-based systems in a globally distributed team.

You will collaborate across continents over email, GitHub, Zoom and Slack, lead initiatives to improve search speed and relevance, and mentor others while owning components end-to-end.

Formación

• Extensive experience with search or vector databases and relevant algorithms.
• Strong Java skills and knowledge of concurrency and data structures.
• Able to guide projects from design to delivery with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Lead initiatives to build industry-leading search with high speed and relevance.
• Contribute to Elasticsearch features, fix bugs, and optimize code.
• Work with a globally distributed team focusing on vector search capabilities.
• Be an expert on Elasticsearch search relevance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with community members, triage issues and manage PRs.
• Write idiomatic Java and contribute to architecture decisions.
