Job summary

AgileEngine in Sevilla is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to build scalable, secure server-side solutions and a reusable client integration system for a mission-critical SaaS platform.

You will collaborate with design and product teams, estimate timelines, and contribute to automation and deployment processes to improve engineer efficiency. This role offers flextime with remote and office options, and a dynamic, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SaaS experience.
• High level of proficiency in Java and SQL.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• DevOps mindset of automation and continuous improvement.
• Strong observability and CI/CD practices.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency.
• Ability to meet deadlines and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Build a cleanly designed, reusable client integration system adhering to secure cloud software best practices, from start to finish.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to understand requirements, create estimates, plan sprints, and meet delivery timelines.
• Plan and accurately estimate construction and delivery timelines.
• Contribute to technical documentation and automated build and deployment processes designed to increase engineer efficiency.
• Review code submitted by other software engineers and submit your own code for review as part of the pull-request deployment process.
