Intellias is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our remote team from Spain. You will design, develop, and operate scalable Spring Boot microservices and event-driven data pipelines. The role requires deep expertise in Java, AWS and distributed systems, plus strong SQL skills and hands-on testing, CI/CD, and English communication.

Formación

• 6+ years of backend design, development, deployment and maintenance using Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Hands-on AWS core services and cloud-native development (minimum 2 years).
• Experience with event-driven distributed systems (Kafka or Kinesis) and microservices.
• Strong JPA / Hibernate and PostgreSQL design, tuning, and data modelling.
• Experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit, Cucumber) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Proficient English communication and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Spring Boot microservices in a distributed architecture.
• Build and operate event-driven data pipelines for streaming data ingestion and enrichment.
• Work with large datasets, focusing on data transformation, validation and optimization.
• Develop advanced SQL queries and data workflows to support business needs.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics and business stakeholders to solve complex data challenges.
• Contribute to data warehousing and Snowflake-based initiatives where applicable.
• Develop robust APIs for internal/external use and maintain AWS-based backend reliability and scalability.
• Maintain PostgreSQL and DynamoDB schemas with performance in mind.
• Implement automated testing strategies and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Ensure observability, monitoring and reliable production support in a distributed team.
