UST España & Latam in Galicia, Spain, seeks a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and evolve high-performance backend services using Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and cloud-native architectures. You will work on reactive systems, gRPC APIs, and Kafka-driven data flows within a distributed team.

The role requires strong Java/Spring expertise, hands-on RxJava, and experience with AWS cloud services, testing, and CI/CD practices for scalable production systems.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 3+ years with Java 17 or 21, with modern features.
• Strong Spring Framework & Spring Boot experience in production.
• Reactive programming with RxJava or Project Reactor.
• Production experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
• High-concurrency/thread-safety expertise.
• Solid testing with JUnit 5, Mockito, AssertJ.
• Kafka experience; at least one of Redis/PostgreSQL/MongoDB.
• AWS cloud experience; S3, IAM, managed Kafka, container runtimes.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java 17/21 using Spring Boot.
• Build scalable microservices with reactive programming.
• Develop and maintain gRPC APIs and Protobuf schemas with backward compatibility.
• Implement high-concurrency solutions and proper thread-safety patterns.
• Work with Kafka-based event-driven architectures and data stores.
• Create automated tests: unit, integration, contract tests.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infra, and container deployments.
• Document architectures, designs, and pull requests.
