Intellias busca un Senior Java Engineer para trabajar de forma remota desde España, con contrato indefinido. El equipo modernizará APIs y pipelines de datos para una red global de clientes y dealers, utilizando Java, Spring Boot, Docker y AWS en un entorno ágil.

Las responsabilidades incluyen diseñar microservicios, procesar datos en pipelines en la nube y optimizar consultas SQL en PostgreSQL/DynamoDB, con pruebas en JUnit y Cucumber, y pipelines CI/CD con GitHub Actions.

Formación

• 6+ años diseñando, desarrollando y desplegando backend en Java en producción.
• Experiencia mínima de 2 años con AWS core services y desarrollo en la nube.
• Experiencia con arquitecturas event-driven y sistemas distribuidos (Kafka, Kinesis u otros).
• Conocimiento de microservicios, MVC y JPA/Hibernate.
• Diseño de bases de datos PostgreSQL y DynamoDB, con SQL avanzado.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar, desarrollar y mantener microservicios Spring Boot en una arquitectura distribuida.
• Construir y operar pipelines de procesamiento de datos basados en eventos.
• Trabajar con conjuntos de datos complejos para transformación, validación y optimización.
• Desarrollar consultas SQL avanzadas y flujos de datos para soporte de negocio.
• Colaborar con data engineering, analytics y stakeholders para resolver retos de datos.
• Contribuir a iniciativas de data warehousing y soluciones analíticas.
• Desarrollar y mantener APIs internas/exteriores y soportar sistemas backend en AWS.
• Diseñar y optimizar esquemas PostgreSQL y DynamoDB.

Senior Java Engineer

Location: Remote from Spain (an indefinite Spanish employment contract)

Intellias is partnering with a Fortune 100, Midwest-based industrial manufacturer to modernize and expand a suite of cloud-based services and data products used by a global network of dealers, enterprise customers, and internal business units. Our cross-functional teams deliver scalable APIs, event-driven services, and analytics pipelines that power quoting, ordering, asset telemetry, diagnostics, and lifecycle support for heavy equipment in the field

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining backend services and distributed systems in production using Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, Docker
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS core services and cloud-native application development.
• Experience parsing and ingesting various file types (large media files, etc.)
• Strong experience designing and operating event-driven distributed systems using technologies such as Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or equivalent messaging platforms.
• Strong experience with microservices, MVC, and event-driven architectures
• Strong experience with JPA / Hibernate
• Strong database design skills with PostgreSQL (advanced SQL) and DynamoDB, including schema design, optimization, and performance tuning
• Solid test automation experience using JUnit and Cucumber
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and/or similar CI/CD tools
• Strong ownership and self-management in a fast-paced Agile environment, with the ability to independently deliver end-to-end solutions, resolve blockers, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to provide 6 hours overlap with US Central Time (CT) on business days (till 2 pm CT latest)

• Advanced SQL expertise, including designing, writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex analytical queries against large and complex datasets.
• Experience processing, enriching, or analyzing event and telemetry data at scale.
• Experience with AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with jOOQ and Flyway.
• Experience with BigQuery or Databricks.
• Experience with Spring Cloud.
• Experience working with geospatial data (PostGIS).
• Experience supporting large-scale data platforms, reporting systems, or business analytics products.
• Experience working with distributed data processing or data pipeline technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Spring Boot-based microservices in a distributed architecture
• Build and operate event-driven data processing pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and enrichment of streaming data
• Work extensively with complex datasets, focusing on data analysis, transformation, validation, and optimization
• Develop and maintain advanced SQL queries and data workflows to support business and platform requirements
• Collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to understand and solve complex data challenges
• Contribute to data warehousing and analytics initiatives, including Snowflake-based solutions where applicable
• Develop and maintain robust APIs for internal and external consumersWork with AWS cloud services to design and support reliable, scalable backend systems
• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL and DynamoDB schemas, ensuring performance and data integrity
• Implement and maintain automated testing strategies (unit and integration)
• Contribute to and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines
• Ensure system reliability through monitoring, logging, and observability best practices
• Collaborate effectively in a distributed team, communicating progress, risks, and dependencies
• Take ownership of features end-to-end, from design through deployment and production support
