Job summary

Miratech in Spain is seeking a Senior Java Developer to contribute to development and maintenance of a tax administration system for a large European client. You will work on backend components using Java, Spring, and Quarkus within a microservices architecture.

Candidates should have 6+ years of Java experience, strong knowledge of REST/SOAP, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Docker/Kubernetes, and be able to collaborate with distributed teams; English proficiency required. The role supports remote work.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework, Quarkus
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS)
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging (Kafka, ActiveMQ)
• Good understanding of testing principles
• Ability to communicate confidently in English
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Implement software components according to the design specifications
• Perform system integration and testing, problem troubleshooting, and resolution
• Perform unit testing of software components
• Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
• Proactively collaborate with teammates and communicate with the Project Stakeholders to ensure that the Project efforts proceed efficiently and with predictability
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps
• Participate in triage activities (incident analysis and prioritization)
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes
