Pentasia in Madrid is seeking a Senior Java Developer to build and scale core backend services in a distributed, event-driven environment. The role focuses on APIs, asynchronous workflows, and ensuring resilience, data integrity, and observability across services.

You will work 3 days in the Madrid office and 2 days remote, collaborating with engineering, DevOps, and compliance to maintain high standards for performance, security, and reliability.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience with Java, 5+ with Spring, Spring Boot and Microservices.
• 1+ years of experience in payments, iGaming or FinTech.
• 1+ years of experience with platform integrations and payments gateways.
• 2+ years of experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain core backend services (identity, transactions, data integrity) within an event-driven architecture.
• Build reliable, asynchronous workflows and high-performance APIs with versioning and consistency.
• Implement distributed transactions, concurrency controls, and resilience patterns to ensure system stability.
• Manage database evolution, security, testing, and observability across services.
• Contribute to internal tools, CI/CD, infrastructure, and leverage AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
