Tecan in Barcelona, Spain is seeking a Senior IT Data Analyst to lead the SAP Datasphere and BW data landscape, delivering high-quality data models and dashboards that empower decision-making across the business. You will collaborate with IT and business teams to design analytics capabilities and scalable reporting solutions.

The role focuses on data integration from ERP, CRM, and finance systems, ensuring data quality, governance and GDPR compliance while advancing BI transformations.

Formación

• Extensive experience as a BI specialist/data analyst in SAP HANA.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP ERP (S/4), SAP Analytics Cloud, and ETL tools.
• Experience in data modelling, SQL scripts and performance optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure availability, quality, consistency, and compliance of company data.
• Advise management and business units on data-driven decisions.
• Create data models, ETL processes, and related standards.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Support cross-functional projects throughout the full lifecycle (Design, Implementation, Testing, Go-live and Hypercare).
• Enforce consistent application of tools, methods, and standards in data & analytics.

Your contribution

In this challenging and important role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s SAP Datasphere and BW data landscape. Your responsibility is to ensure, from the definition of business requirements through to implementation and delivery, that data solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs. You will work closely with business teams and IT to design and deliver high-quality data models, reporting solutions, and analytics capabilities.

The objectives and scope of the job are the following:

• DataSphere and BW System ownership with administration, maintenance and development
• Build, optimize, and maintain DataSphere models and reporting solutions.
• Drive global reporting solutions across system landscape.
• Integrate data from ERP, CRM, finance, and other systems.
• Partner with business teams to design effective analytics solutions.
• Analyze and visualize business data to support decisions
• Create dashboards and KPIs in SAP Analytics Cloud and explore new BI tools.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance (e.g., GDPR)
• Lead or support BI and digital transformation projects.
• Apply strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere and SAP ERP (S/4).

Responsibilities

• Support the strategic development of Tecan’s data landscape across platforms
• Advise management and business units on data-driven decisions.
• Prioritize, implement, and monitor analysis requirements.
• Create data models, ETL processes, and related standards.
• Provision of technical documentation and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Support cross-functional projects throughout the full lifecycle (Design, Implementation, Testing, Go-live and Hypercare).
• Enforce consistent application of tools, methods, and standards in data & analytics.
• Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to colleagues and business users.

Your background

• Extensive experience as a BI specialist/data analyst in SAP HANA.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP ERP (S/4), SAP Analytics Cloud, and ETL Tools.
• Experience in data modelling, SQL Scripts and performance optimization.

• Understanding of SAP S4 data structures (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP)
• Excellent analytical, communication and project management skills.
• Hands on experience in Project Management.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; German is a plus.
• Team player with a structured, independent work style.
• Degree in Business IT, data science or similar is a nice to have.
• Experience with OneStream, Salesforce, TableauNext, Power BI would be a plus.
