Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior iOS Developer (Swift) based in Spain to join a fully remote, international team. You will build and enhance a native iOS app with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusive design, using Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit.

Key responsibilities include implementing VoiceOver support, Dynamic Type, accessibility labels and focus management, and testing against WCAG 2.1/2.2 while collaborating with global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in native iOS development.
• Strong expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing accessibility features in native iOS applications.
• Strong practical knowledge of VoiceOver, including testing and optimizing screen-reader navigation and interactions.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, ideally including WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with distributed, international teams.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance native iOS apps using Swift, delivering new features and improving existing functionality.
• Build interfaces with SwiftUI and UIKit, ensuring responsive, high-quality user experiences.
• Implement accessibility features across native iOS applications to support diverse users.
• Ensure VoiceOver compatibility by optimizing navigation and interaction interpretations.
• Apply iOS Accessibility APIs and SwiftUI Accessibility features to improve accessibility.
• Implement Dynamic Type and scalable fonts for readability across text-size preferences.
• Configure accessibility labels, traits, values, and actions for assistive technologies.
• Manage accessibility focus for intuitive navigation and predictable interactions.
• Conduct hands-on accessibility testing and QA to identify and resolve defects.
• Validate implementations against WCAG 2.1/2.2 and contribute to inclusive design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver accessible solutions.
