SimpleStudy is a consumer AI platform for students. We help them stay motivated to study Biology, Mathematics, Literature, and Art. Our small team has already helped +1.5 M students worldwide and adds 40–50k new students weekly.

We are a remote team with a Lisbon office and have raised ~$4M in seed funding from notable investors. We seek a senior full-stack engineer to own the mobile app end-to-end, working directly with the founders to drive product excellence and architectural integrity across

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer.
• Proficient in TypeScript, CSS and HTML.
• Experience with Node.js, React.js, Next.js, Nest.js, Prisma and Tailwind.
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Bonus: Experience in writing E2E tests using Playwright; Bonus: Experience with Python; Bonus: Experience with Jotai (or Zustand/Redux).
• Experience in leading and managing teams.

Responsabilidades

• Own the mobile app end-to-end and drive its architecture and quality.
• Collaborate with founders and the engineering team to align product and tech goals.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers, fostering a high-performance mobile-focused squad.
• Contribute to the overall platform roadmap and ensure smooth integration with backend services.

We help them stay motivated to study their subjects - everything from Biology and Mathematics to Literature and Art.

Our small team has already helped +1.5 M students worldwide (UK, Ireland, Brazil, South Africa, and Australia) study better, and ~40–50k new students join us every week.

We are a remote team with a Lisbon office, having recently raised ~$4M seed round with incredible investors from Strava, OpenAI, and Meta.

Team:

Engineering is strong, anchored by Affan as an excellent engineering manager, with skills spread across the stack. There's no dedicated mobile specialist today, but two strong engineers are already contributing to the React Native app and would work under this hire. Oisin (founder) is directly involved with the team and currently leads product while Affan drives engineering. This new hire would be the first dedicated senior/staff-level mobile lead on the team, owning the mobile app end-to-end and working directly with Affan and Oisin.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer
• Proficient in Typescript, CSS and HTML
• Experience with Node.js, React.js, Next.js, Nest.js, Prisma and Tailwind
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
• Bonus: Experience in writing E2E tests using Playwright
