Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and implementation of scalable features across our SaaS products in Madrid. You will shape architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and business leadership to drive technical strategy.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in software engineering, experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Python, and familiarity with distributed systems, cloud-native development on Azure, and CI/CD practices.

Formación

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience as Senior/Lead/Staff Engineer or Software Architect.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Certifications like Azure Solutions Architect or CKA are beneficial.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing environments is helpful.
• Building and operating modern full-stack apps with JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Experience with Express.js, Vue.js, Flask and Pandas.
• Designing distributed systems and microservices.
• Cloud-native development on Azure Kubernetes-based platforms (AKS).
• Database tech: MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• DevSecOps, IaC and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Databricks is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, development and operation of new SaaS capabilities.
• Make architectural decisions balancing immediate needs with long-term scalability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and leadership to shape roadmaps.
• Drive improvements in performance, reliability, security and developer experience.
• Champion modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted tooling.
• Drive adoption of new patterns, frameworks and platform capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and foster continuous learning and high-quality delivery.
• Work with platform, security and compliance teams to meet standards.
• Contribute directly to production code and stay involved in implementation.
