Octopus Energy in Valencia or Barcelona is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead frontend architecture for onboarding flows and private areas. You’ll work with Marketing and international teams to deliver frontend solutions across multiple markets.

The role focuses on frontend, with optional backend work (Python/Django, GraphQL). English is essential; hybrid work in Spain is offered with generous development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Senior Frontend Engineer with modern frontend architecture experience.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on with Next.js, ideally hosted on Vercel.
• Experience working with GraphQL as a data layer.
• Comfort with CSS-in-JS solutions (PandaCSS a plus).
• Solid testing practices with Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
• Experience working within a monorepo structure.
• A flexible, collaborative mindset and comfort in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate internationally with Octopus Energy ES and global teams to develop and integrate new features.
• Own key product modules: private area, bill management, saving sessions, onboarding optimization, and marketing dashboards.
• Deliver code that directly impacts customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Thrive in an agile culture with flat hierarchies and open collaboration.
• Be open to working across different areas and occasionally backend work (Python/Django, GraphQL).
