Lodgify is seeking a Mid Frontend Engineer to join our multicultural startup in Barcelona. You will own features from idea through launch, collaborating with customers, designers, and backend developers to build fast, accessible frontend experiences with React, TypeScript, and design systems.

• 3+ years of React experience with a strong foundation in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests; familiarity with Storybook or Playwright is a plus.
• Ability to deliver accessible, mobile-responsive, performant frontend solutions.
• Experience collaborating with designers and backend teams to define contracts and feasibility.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments.

Role Overview

Lodgify is looking for a Mid Frontend Engineer to join a multicultural startup. You will help us maintain and add features to our frontend application built with React. You will own your work from brainstorming through launch and beyond, collaborating with customers, analyzing usage data, and prioritizing solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Full Feature Ownership: Take responsibility for a feature from initial idea and discovery through launch and long-term maintenance
• Product Discovery & Strategy: Partner with product managers and designers to brainstorm solutions, assess technical feasibility, and build quick prototypes
• Customer-Centric Engineering: Engage with users and analyze data to address real needs
• Outcome-Focused Delivery: Measure success by user adoption and satisfaction, prioritizing value over over-engineering
• Technical Excellence: Build fast, stable, and maintainable frontend experiences using TypeScript, React, SWR, and styled-components with a strong UI/UX focus
• Modern Web Development: Extend a modern, cross-browser compatible application using the latest Web APIs
• Collaborative Decision Making: Shape the product roadmap and architectural discussions with emphasis on testing, performance, and code quality
• Continuous Improvement: Lead frontend refactoring, optimization, and codebase improvements
• Collaborate effectively with designers and validate ideas for technical feasibility
• Work with Agile Principles (Kanban, Scrum)
• Experience with REST APIs and API contracts with backend developers
• Experience with Design Systems
• CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Audit applications for accessibility and apply WCAG guidelines

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of experience with React
• Strong foundations in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Strong Git skills and experience with monorepositories
• Experience writing unit and integration tests; familiarity with interaction tests (Storybook) or end-to-end tests (Playwright) is a plus
• Ability to deliver accessible, mobile-responsive, performant, and scalable solutions
• Experience collaborating with designers and validating technical feasibility of ideas
• Experience with Agile Principles (Kanban, Scrum)
• Experience working with REST APIs and defining contracts with back-end developers
• Experience with Design Systems
• CI/CD experience, preferably with GitHub Actions
• Ability to audit applications for accessibility and apply WCAG specifications
