Sener Aerospace and Space is seeking a talented FPGA/Firmware Engineer to design, implement, and verify advanced FPGA-based systems for defense and space applications. You will develop firmware for Xilinx Ultrascale, RFSoC, and Microsemi platforms while collaborating across hardware, software, and systems teams.

The role requires VHDL, C, and Python proficiency, Linux-based development, and experience with DO-254/ECSS/MILSTD standards. Knowledge of Altium for schematic/PCB work is a plus.

Formación

• Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGAs including Ultrascale and RFSoC.
• Familiarity with Microsemi (Microchip) FPGA devices and toolchains.
• Proficiency in VHDL, C, and Python for embedded development and test automation.
• Experience in Linux-based development environments.
• Solid Git version control experience.
• Awareness of DO-254, ECSS, MIL-STD standards for defense/space.
• Hardware development knowledge including schematic and PCB design with Altium Designer.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, verify FPGA-based systems using VHDL.
• Develop and maintain firmware for Xilinx Ultrascale, RFSoC, and Microsemi platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers on architectures.
• Perform simulation, synthesis, placement, routing, and timing analysis (Vivado/Libero).
• Support hardware bring-up, integration, and lab validation.
• Document designs and participate in reviews and compliance processes.
