AECOM is seeking a Senior Flood Modeller to join our Hydraulics and Drainage team in Madrid. You will develop and check hydraulic models to support Flood Alleviation Schemes, Flood Risk Assessments, and reservoir flood studies, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with clients and other technical disciplines.

The role requires 8+ years’ experience on flood risk projects, proficiency in Flood Modeller and TUFLOW, and fluent English. UK/Irish project exposure is a plus.

Formación

• 8+ years on fluvial, coastal, surface water or drainage flood risk projects.
• Proficiency in Flood Modeller and TUFLOW.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).

Responsabilidades

• Developing and checking hydraulic models to assist Flood Alleviation Schemes and Flood Risk Assessments.
• Undertaking hydrological analyses to inform model boundary conditions.
• Interpreting model outputs to assess flood risk now and under climate-change scenarios.
• Mentor staff within the team to support professional development.
• Build relationships with clients and across other disciplines.
• Preparation of graphical and GIS deliverables.
• Verify models and tools using recorded information to validate results.
• Support the modelling team and other disciplines.
