Amazon Road Transport Spain, S.L.U. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the AMZL Finance team in Madrid.

You will analyze logistics metrics, drive cost-out opportunities, and partner with business teams to inform strategic decisions while leading monthly closings and planning processes. The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering actionable insights in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business or related field.
  • Experience with large-scale data mining & reporting tools (SQL, Power Query, Python) or Excel macros/pivots.
  • Experience with financial and statistical modeling.

Responsabilidades

  • Leverages Amazon Logistic metrics to identify cost out opportunities by linking operations and financials.
  • Understands the cost structure to make judicious calls where data may be limited.
  • Builds trusted partnerships to influence tactical and strategic business decisions for improvements and cost reductions.
  • Owns Financial and operational planning processes to produce a challenging and solid operational plan.
  • Owns month-end procedures including accruals and variance analysis between actuals, plan and forecast.
  • Supports knowledge-sharing and standardizes processes across EU teams.

Key job responsibilities
  • Leverages Amazon Logistic metrics to identify cost out opportunities by linking up operations and financials.
  • Understands the details of the cost structure to make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be difficult to procure.
  • Build trusted partnership with the business to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions that lead to business improvements and cost reductions
  • Owns the Financial and operational planning processes to produce a challenging/stretch/bold yet solid operational plan.
  • Owns all Month‑end procedures including accruals and variance analysis between scenarios (actuals, Plan, Forecast...)
  • Proactively supports knowledge‑sharing within the team and across your division, while looking to standardize processes across EU teams
  • Works independently: Proactively partners with manager to prioritize and focus on high‑impact activities and to deprioritize those which are unlikely to drive material improvement

About the Team

As part of the AMZL Finance team, you will join a team that is passionate about numbers, data, and how to use them to generate insights and improve our business. We support and influence the AMZL organization by providing the a holistic and financial perspective, we are the trusted business advisors. We collaborate with our partners to ensure leaders to have the most up to date and reliable information, and work with them to make sure AMZL is making the best possible decisions.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
  • Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles, or experience delivering results for large, cross‑functional initiatives/projects
  • Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python), or experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)
  • Experience with financial and statistical modeling
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
  • Experience identifying and resolving complex issues
  • Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
