La Fosse seeks a Senior F# Developer to own end-to-end development of a Fleet Management System for a transportation client. The role focuses on F# and .NET Core with RESTful microservices, targeting low latency and scalable architectures.

The position requires deep functional and object-oriented programming expertise, plus experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production-grade systems. Freelance contract with potential extension.

Formación

• Backend development with F# and .NET Core/.NET 6/7/8.

Responsabilidades

• Own full lifecycle design, build, test and deploy of complex systems.

• Maintain green builds and proper branching/CI/CD strategy.
• Collaborate across R&D, IT and Operations to align product needs and integrations.
• Advise Product Owners on risk and tech debt, drive continuous improvement.

Job title: Senior F# Developer

Contract: Freelance

Contract Duration: 6 months + Transition to permanent contract

Location: Barcelona or Algeciras

We are hiring for an F# Developer for our client in the transportation sector. You'll own the full application lifecycle research, design, development, testing and continuous deployment and delivery of a Fleet Management System. It's a mission critical, real time systems role, ideal for someone with deep functional and object oriented programming expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the full lifecycle design, build, test and deploy of complex distributed cloud agnostic systems, delivering quickly through ambiguity
• Engineer resilient systems, owning the service's availability and scalability
• Lead design and code reviews that lifts both the codebase and the team
• Shape RESTful API design end to end versioning, backwards compatibility, authentication, retry mechanisms and rate limiting
• Keep builds green and uphold the branching / code management strategy
• Work across R&D, IT and Business Operations to align product and operational needs, and build integrations across internal and customer systems
• Advise Product Owners on risks, technical debt and improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and cross-team communitie

Required skills:

• Design and programming skills primarily in backend with a focus on enterprise level solutions using F# and .NET Core, .NET 6/7/8.
• Working experience with C# and Python is a plus.
• Experience of developing and debugging RESTful microservices
• Experience working on low latency, highly scalable applications
• Strong design and development experience in distributed, clustered, and multi-threaded applications
• Experience in design and implementation of service interface and public APIs
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming C++ (modern standards preferred)
• Experience with Production-Grade Container Orchestration viz. Kubernetes etc.
• Experience working with databases and data models SQL, NoSQL, document DB, Cosmos DB etc.
• Experience with Fluent NHibernate, Protocol Buffers & Robot Framework
• Solid experience with CI/CD tools – Gitlab, Jenkins
• Strong experience of Agile, Behavioural Driven Development & Test-Driven Development
• Hands on experience in modular development of enterprise level application, development experience with Fleet Management System (FMS) is highly preferred
