Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting for a Senior Environmental Manager to join an international renewables player operating in Italy. You will work with internal development, technical and permitting teams, external consultants, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure environmental aspects are properly managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in environmental management for renewable energy, strong PM and stakeholder skills, and fluent English with Italian

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental management, permitting and renewable energy development in Italy.
• Experience in utility-scale renewable energy project development.
• Strong project management, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English; Italian native-level proficiency.

Responsabilidades

Taylor Hopkinson is supporting an international player in the renewable energy sector in the search for a Senior Environmental Manager to join its growing team in Italy. The successful candidate will work closely with internal development, technical and permitting teams, as well as external consultants, authorities and other stakeholders, ensuring that environmental aspects are properly managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate environmental activities during the origination and development phases of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Coordinate environmental studies, assessments and technical documentation prepared by external consultants. Review and challenge environmental documentation to ensure quality, compliance and alignment with project requirements. Identify potential environmental constraints and risks during the early stages of project development and provide recommendations to the development team. Support the evaluation of new opportunities from an environmental and permitting perspective during the origination phase. Monitor changes in Italian environmental and permitting regulations and assess their potential impact on the company's projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline. 5+ years of relevant professional experience in environmental management, permitting and/or development of renewable energy projects in Italy. Proven experience in the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Strong project management, organisational and stakeholder management skills. Fluent English is mandatory; Italian native-level proficiency is expected. Ability to work effectively in an international and multidisciplinary environment. Willingness to travel when required.
