CACTUS Communications is seeking an Editor to apply subject-matter expertise to evaluate and refine research manuscripts for clarity, accuracy, and journal readiness. You will enhance language quality while preserving meaning across disciplines, with emphasis on Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics topics.

The role requires a PhD in Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics (mandatory) and a strong publication record with first-author works, plus peer review experience and excellent written English.

Formación

• PhD in Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics (mandatory).
• Strong publication record with 5–10+ first-author publications (mandatory).
• Prior peer review experience.
• Ability to critically assess study design, methods, statistics, and interpretation.
• Ability to evaluate scientific content for discipline-specific accuracy.
• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in scientific editing or academic publishing is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and edit manuscripts to improve the clarity, coherence, and readability of scientific content while preserving the authors’ intended meaning.
• Ensure that subject-specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate, consistent, and appropriate for the target audience.
• Improve the presentation of complex research findings to enhance their communication and publication readiness.
• Edit manuscripts such that the final text meets the highest standards of academic writing, is free of unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences. Adhere to job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal when required.

Qualifications and Prerequisites

• A PhD degree in Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics (mandatory)
• Strong publication record, with 5–10 or more first-author publications (mandatory)
• Prior peer review experience
