Job summary

Datadog's Continuous Profiler team is building a cutting-edge profiling product designed to run with minimal overhead in production. You will help design and implement core services, collaborating across runtime engineers, data scientists, and designers to scale profiling for Go and Python workloads.

As a distributed systems engineer, you will own code from development to production, engage with customers, and help drive improvements to the profiling platform in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and/or Go is essential.
• Distributed systems engineering in a high-performance, large-scale environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to review architectural proposals and guide technical trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and contribute to core profiling services at scale.
• Iterate with customers and cross-functional squads from exploration to product experiences.
• Own code from development to production and meet SLO/quality gates.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to consume profiling data (UI, tools, integrations).
