T-Systems Iberia in Madrid seeks an experienced Kubernetes Platform Engineer to help build and operate a fully automated Kubernetes platform (Cluster API) for internal tenants. You will write software to deploy clusters, manage components, and integrate with infra.

The role requires solid software engineering, Go knowledge, and strong Kubernetes experience. You will contribute to open-source projects, collaborate in cross-country squads, and participate in flexible hybrid work, with Coursera

Formación

• Fluent English; B2 level.
• Solid software engineering experience across languages and platforms.
• Basic knowledge of Go, preferably several years.
• Experience with microservice and cloud architectures.
• Strong Kubernetes background; operating it is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Write software to automatically deploy clusters, manage components running on top of them and integrate with the surrounding infrastructure.
• Contribute to upstream open-source projects we consume to make improvements and fix bugs.
• Configure software components running on clusters to provide platform features.
• Support and enable the migration of existing Kubernetes clusters to the new management platform.
• Provide third-level support to the operations teams running Kubernetes platforms across europe.

T‑CaaS (Telekom Cluster-as-a-Service) Is a Platform Jointly Developed By Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH And Technology Delivery International. This Platform Provides a Managed Kubernetes Clusters For All Cloud-native Applications, Empowering Application Developers And Owners Across Deutsche Telekom And Its National Companies (NatCos) To Do The Following :

• Containerize their applications.
• Fast deploy and manage their application lifecycle.
• Operate at scale in production environments without worrying about the underlying infrastructure.

Deutsche Telekom Technik And Technology Delivery International Are Collaborating To Create a Unified/converged T-CaaS Platform. The Goal Of T-CaaS Convergence Is To Achieve The Following:

• Streamline the creation and management of kubernetes clusters.
• Guarantee carrier-grade quality for a shared cloud stack in Europe.
• Maintain high consistency in service delivery for the mass market.

You will help engineer a fully automated Kubernetes platform based on Cluster API that provides clusters to internal tenants. You will

• Support and enable the migration of existing Kubernetes clusters to the new management platform.

Qualifications

Skill Requirements

• English: fluent speaking and listening (B2).
• Solid sofware engineering experience (any languages, platforms).
• At least basic knowledge of Go, ideally using it for several years.
• Experience with microservice/cloud architecture (http apis, small decoupled programs).
• Strong background in using Kubernetes, preferably experience operating it as well.

Optional

• Knowledge of controller-runtime (kubebuilder).
• Experience with Cluster API (or any of the alternatives).
• Contributions to open-source projects.
