Job summary

Shalion is in Barcelona looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science team and work on advanced analytics at the core of our product, measuring the real impact of brands' actions on sales across 1000+ e-retailers in 60+ countries. You will handle large daily datasets, emphasize causal methods over fancy models, and explain results clearly to product and business colleagues.

The role offers hybrid work in Barcelona with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, plus a competitive package

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in advanced analytics in a business context.
• Strong background in statistics, experimentation, and working with real-world data.
• Proficient in causal inference methods and when to apply them.
• Proven ability to explain complex results to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement impact measurement solutions at scale.
• Analyze large-scale e-commerce data to understand drivers of sales.
• Balance model complexity with practical value and product needs.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Engineers and ML Engineers to integrate features.
• Communicate findings clearly to colleagues and clients.
• Mentor colleagues and share knowledge within the team.
