Bayer AG in Spain, Cataluña, Barcelona, seeks a Senior Data Scientist/Engineer to build end-to-end data science solutions across Veg PS digital landscape. You'll partner with crop and digital enablement teams to deliver ML products and cloud-based pipelines.

You will collaborate with data engineers to deploy APIs, maintain dashboards, and guide stakeholders across regions, applying advanced ML, statistical methods, and DevOps practices to drive enterprise data initiatives.

Formación

• Strong academic background in machine learning, AI, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques such as kNN, SVM, tree-based methods.
• Good knowledge of statistical skills, including hypothesis testing, probability distributions, maximum likelihood estimates, Bayesian techniques.
• Good understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with technologies such as Docker, Terraform, CloudFormation, GH Actions, AWS Lambda, EC2, ECS etc.
• Application and API development experience using technologies such as ReactJS, Shiny, NodeJS and FastAPI.
• Strong communication and stakeholder mgmt. skills to ensure business advise and influence at all levels across the organization.
• Professional knowledge on tools used within Vegetables Organization: Google Big Query, Tibco Spotfire, Tableau, Business Objects and preferably at least one of the following IT systems and platforms: SAP, Salesforce, Power Automate.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of data science tools and techniques to identify opportunities and develop data science products supporting organizational objectives and fulfill outcomes.
• Build and maintain cloud-based applications for deploying data science projects.
• Work closely with data engineers to build and maintain APIs for machine learning and data automation projects.
• Partner with crop science data engineering teams to align platform usage.
• Partner with digital transformation team to strategize and execute data integration and digital solutioning needs.
• Align and communicate effectively with stakeholders cross regionally and functionally to align on data analytics requirements and solutioning needs to produce enterprise level dashboards and data science products.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Senior Data Scientist

The Senior Data Scientist/Engineer will be responsible for building end-to-end data science solutions for projects across the Veg PS digital landscape. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Skills & Experience:

• Master’s or Ph.D in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field or bachelor's with minimum 5 years' experience.
