Zurich Insurance Group, Barcelona Technology Delivery Center, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver end-to-end data and AI solutions in cloud environments. You will own scalable data pipelines and collaborate with actuaries, data scientists, and product owners to deploy real-world AI products.

Qualifications

• Python production-grade data and backend solutions.
• Cloud engineering on AWS or Azure in data-intensive environments.
• Databricks 5–10 years experience in cloud data platform.
• CI/CD/DevOps design of multi-cloud pipelines (5 years).
• Microservices design/operation of APIs (5 years).
• Agentic AI/LLMs integration with real applications (2 years).
• Backend API development and operation (2 years).
• Nice to have: Insurance/financial services domain exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end Data and AI solutions.
• Own data processing at scale in the cloud (AWS or Azure).
• Industrialise ML/AI with MLOps and CI/CD."
• Develop and operate cloud-native microservices and APIs.
• Define MLOps strategies: versioning, feature stores, monitoring.
• Bridge business and technology translating domain requirements into architecture.
• Build AI-powered products with LLMs, including prompt engineering and RAG.
