Job summary

Parser is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a client delivery team working on the E-commerce Search & Product Discovery Platform for a major multinational retailer. You will build the core data platform powering search relevance, ingesting multi-source event streams and telemetry data to keep it clean and accessible for downstream applications.

In week 1 you will define the platform architecture with the analytics team and deliver a functional prototype by week 2, enabling

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python and advanced SQL.
• Experience with Azure and Spark.
• Experience with Kafka and Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and data lineage.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the shared data foundation for search.
• Implement Medallion Architecture across Bronze/Silver/Gold.
• Integrate search telemetry with analytics teams.
• Design data lake architecture and evaluate tech stacks.
• Ensure data quality and lineage for auditable datasets.
• Deliver well-documented data pipelines.
