The Knot Worldwide seeks a Senior Data Engineer in Barcelona, Spain, to own end-to-end data pipelines and modeling for analytics and ML/AI readiness. You will collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Revenue teams to enable self-service analytics and data-driven decisions.

The role blends data engineering with BI/reporting, requiring strong SQL, Python, and modern tools like dbt, Airbyte and Airflow, and a proactive, governance-minded mindset.

Formación

• Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid role.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Eng, or related fields.
• 3+ years in data engineering; data models and pipelines.
• Experience with SQL, dbt, Airbyte, and Airflow.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end scalable data pipelines for diverse data sources.
• Apply dimensional modeling to map business processes into a data model.
• Develop and support complex ETL infrastructure for clean data delivery.
• Participate in overall architecture and strategy for data pipelines.
• Partner with Data Platform Engineering to deploy production pipelines.
• Define best practices and templates for dbt-based development.
• Assist with performance tuning of models and pipelines.
• Foster data governance, privacy, and documentation for pipelines.
• Understand business processes to solve problems with data products.
• Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Operate in an Agile environment; mentor junior engineers.
• Oversee top-of-funnel metrics for one or more domains.
