Global M is expanding its engineering team and seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and scale high-throughput data systems for AI-driven applications in Barcelona. You will work with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and languages such as Python, Scala or Java, while leveraging AWS and Kubernetes in a hybrid setup.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, strong cloud/containerization skills, and fluency in English or Spanish.

Formación

• 4+ years hands-on data engineering experience.
• Strong background in big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or equivalent) and Python/Scala/Java.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization (Kubernetes).
• Fluency in English or Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain scalable, high-throughput batch and streaming data pipelines and ETLs.
• Architect data storage and retrieval systems using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Work with cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• Integrate ML-based data representation techniques, including embeddings, Knowledge Graphs, and search systems.
