Job summary

Present Connection is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS EKS, with strong automation and scripting skills. The role involves Windows/Linux administration, networking components, and building CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational IT qualification for system integration or an equivalent technical degree.
• Solid experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Windows/Linux server administration, and cloud networking.
• Knowledge of Git, GitLab, CI/CD strategies, Bash, Python, PowerShell, VPC, load balancers, firewalls, VPN, and DNS.
• Strong automation mindset with emphasis on documentation, security and reliability.
• Very good English; German is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate cloud infrastructure from concept through ongoing operations.
• Manage containerized applications on AWS EKS with monitoring and orchestration.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers and networking components (VPC, load balancers, firewalls, VPN, DNS).
• Automate repetitive tasks via scripting and develop CI/CD pipelines.
• Prototype minimum viable products and PoCs to evaluate new technologies.
