Job summary

Present Connection is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate cloud infrastructure for an AI-focused company with a global footprint. You will manage containerized apps on AWS EKS, implement infrastructure as code, and handle Windows/Linux servers, networking components, and security.

You will contribute to automation efforts, CI/CD pipelines, and proof-of-concept work, while collaborating in a diverse, agile team.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational qualification as IT specialist for system integration or technical degree with strong results.
• Solid experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Windows/Linux server administration and cloud networking.
• Knowledge of Git, GitLab, CI/CD strategies, Bash, Python, PowerShell, VPC, load balancers, firewalls, VPN, and DNS.
• Strong automation mindset, with high quality standards for documentation, security and reliability.
• Very good English language skills, German is a strong plus.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join an established AI company based in Germany that uses intelligent process automation to help businesses optimize their operations. Originally founded as a spin-off of a leading national AI research institute, the company has AI at the core of its culture and serves more than 6,000 customers worldwide across industry, insurance, banking, and public administration. It is now part of a larger international software group.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design and operate cloud infrastructure from concept through ongoing operations, with infrastructure-as-code as your core tool. You will manage containerized applications on AWS EKS, including operations, monitoring, and orchestration, and administer Windows and Linux servers along with networking components (VPC, load balancers, firewalls, VPN, DNS). You'll standardize repetitive tasks through scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) and CI/CD pipeline development, and design your own minimum viable products and proof of concepts to evaluate new technologies.

The gross salary in this position is 4800-6000 EUR/month. Keep in mind that we are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and competencies.
