Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Platform Software Engineer based in Spain. You will own cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production reliability for a growing software platform, with autonomy and hands-on challenges.

You'll work across AWS, CI/CD, distributed systems, and PostgreSQL performance, shaping architectural decisions and enabling rapid, secure product improvements while maintaining long-term scalability.

Qualificações

• 5-10+ years of relevant software engineering or platform engineering experience.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud environments in production.
• Proficiency with Terraform or comparable IaC tools.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems concepts including idempotency and message ordering.
• Production PostgreSQL experience including migrations, tuning, and backups.
• Ability to read and navigate TypeScript/Node.js codebases (NestJS).
• Experience operating high-availability systems and incident handling.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
• Excellent collaboration across engineering, product, and stakeholders.
• Product-minded approach linking infrastructure decisions to business outcomes.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Platform Software Engineer based in Spain.

As a Senior Platform Software Engineer, you will take ownership of the cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production reliability that underpin a growing software platform. You will play a key role in building scalable, resilient, and secure systems that enable teams to deliver product improvements quickly and confidently. Working in a collaborative, seed-stage environment, you will help shape architectural decisions and establish the foundations for long-term technical growth. You will work across AWS infrastructure, CI/CD automation, distributed systems, and PostgreSQL performance optimization. The role offers significant autonomy, hands-on technical challenges, and the opportunity to influence engineering practices from the ground up. You will also explore AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and streamline engineering workflows. Accountabilities:

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure: Architect, deploy, and operate AWS services across compute, messaging, storage, networking, and observability to support scalable and reliable applications.
• Develop deployment automation: Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines that enable safe, efficient, and automated releases from code commit to production.
• Own database reliability and performance: Manage production PostgreSQL environments, including configuration, connection pooling, performance tuning, database migrations, and backup and recovery strategies.
• Strengthen distributed systems: Investigate complex production issues, identify root causes, and implement robust solutions that address ordering, retries, idempotency, partial failures, and message delivery guarantees.
• Balance speed and technical quality: Make pragmatic engineering decisions that support rapid product delivery while maintaining system stability, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
• Influence technical direction: Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to define architectural approaches, prioritize infrastructure improvements, and align technical decisions with business needs.
• Integrate AI-assisted workflows: Evaluate and adopt AI-powered development tools where they can improve coding efficiency, testing, build processes, and deployment workflows without compromising engineering quality.

Requirements:

• Professional experience: Typically 5-10+ years of relevant software engineering or platform engineering experience, including hands-on ownership of production infrastructure and systems.
• Cloud infrastructure expertise: Strong practical knowledge of AWS services and experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud environments in production.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience with Terraform or comparable tools for automating and managing infrastructure consistently and reliably.
• Distributed systems knowledge: Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, including message ordering, idempotency, retries, at-least-once delivery, and recovery from partial failures.
• Database engineering: Demonstrated production experience with PostgreSQL, including connection pooling, schema migrations, query and performance optimization, and backup and restore procedures.
• Software development familiarity: Ability to read, understand, and navigate TypeScript and Node.js codebases, with familiarity with NestJS and modern backend application architectures.
• Reliability and troubleshooting: Experience operating high-traffic, highly available systems, combined with strong independent debugging, incident investigation, and problem-solving skills.
• AI development tools: Comfort using AI coding assistants and integrating AI-enabled tools into engineering workflows while applying sound technical judgment and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaboration and ownership: Strong communication skills, a proactive and independent working style, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and other stakeholder teams.
• Product mindset: Genuine curiosity about the product and its users, with an interest in connecting infrastructure decisions to customer outcomes and business objectives.
• Location eligibility: Ability to work remotely from within Europe, with a location within three hours of Central European Time. Visa sponsorship is not available.
