Job summary

Journi is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and run cloud infrastructure from concept to operations, with IaC as the core approach. You will manage containerised apps on AWS EKS, handle Windows/Linux servers and networking, and drive automation via scripting and CI/CD.

The role emphasizes innovation, agile collaboration, and a strong emphasis on documentation, security, and reliability. English proficiency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational qualification as an IT specialist for system integration or a technical degree with strong results.
• Solid experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Windows/Linux server administration, and cloud networking.
• Knowledge of Git, GitLab, CI/CD strategies, Bash, Python, PowerShell, VPC, load balancers, firewalls, VPN, and DNS.
• A strong automation mindset, with high quality standards for documentation, security, and reliability.
• Very good English language skills; German is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

It is now part of a larger international software group.

It is now part of a larger international software group.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design and operate cloud infrastructure from concept through ongoing operations, with infrastructure-as-code as your core tool. You will manage containerised applications on AWS EKS, including operations, monitoring, and orchestration, and administer Windows and Linux servers along with networking components (VPC, load balancers, firewalls, VPN, DNS). You’ll standardise repetitive tasks through scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) and CI/CD pipeline development, and design your own minimum viable products and proof of concepts to evaluate new technologies.

The salary in this position is 4800-6000 EUR/month Gross. Keep in mind that we are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and competencies.
