Job summary

ICON Strategic Solutions is seeking a Start Up Lead based in Madrid to oversee country-level start-up activities for assigned protocols, ensuring compliance with ICH/GCP and local regulations.

You will manage budgets and CTAs, coordinate with CTMs, sponsors, and regulatory authorities, develop local language materials, and lead country submissions and approvals.

Travel up to 25% and mentor junior staff; we offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in clinical research or combined experience in Clinical Research and Finance/Business.
• Expertise of core clinical systems, tools and metrics.
• Excellent verbal and written influencing and training/mentoring skills, in local language and English.

Responsibilities

• Owns country and site budgets; develops, negotiates, and completes CTAs.
• Oversees payments and financial forecasting with cross-functional teams.
• Executes and oversees country submissions and approvals for assigned protocols.
• Develops local language Informed Consent materials and coordinates with IRB/Regulatory Authorities.
• Manages country deliverables, timelines and quality/compliance for protocols.
• Contributes to local SOPs and coordinates with HQ and vendors.
