Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Senior Clinical Solutions Engineer, Data, for an in-office role based in Barcelona. You will lead customer data conversations, map data to Evinova standards, and guide end-to-end data integrations across clinical trials and cost data.

You will act as a product SME, support pre-sales, and coordinate cross-functional delivery with Product, Engineering, and Security teams. You will drive data exchange best practices, train internal teams, and ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in clinical operations, clinical data management, or a related technical field where data informs study decisions.
• Strong working knowledge of clinical trial data structures, terminologies and standards, including USDM and CDISC.
• Hands-on familiarity with clinical trial operational, design, cost and rate data, and feasibility data.
• Experience implementing data integrations for enterprise SaaS customers.
• Strong skills with structured data formats and secure file transfer.
• Comfort with version control, command-line tools, and basic cloud concepts (e.g., AWS).
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for delivery and documentation.
• Ability to analyze data flows, identify discrepancies, and troubleshoot data issues.
• Ability to manage high-visibility technical customer engagements and own problems end to end.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, information management, data science, CS or life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer data conversations, identifying datasets, owners, and stakeholders.
• Advise customers on data standards and mapping to Evinova’s offerings.
• Develop expertise in data landscape and provide technical oversight during implementation.
• Present to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
• Guide customers in collecting source data specifications, mapping, and transforming data to standards.
• Manage integrations, onboarding, and data loads into customer environments.
• Review data quality, resolve issues, and ensure data reconciles with source.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on defects and remediation.
• Coordinate change control and timelines; communicate progress across teams.
