Lever, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer with deep experience in database internals, focusing on ClickHouse and its integration with the PostgreSQL ecosystem. This fully remote role operates across the EMEA region, offering significant ownership over analytics features and performance improvements.

You will work on distributed systems, query processing, and production-grade analytics tooling, collaborating with senior engineers through reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Formación

• 5+ years building database internals, preferably PostgreSQL or similar.
• Contributed upstream to ClickHouse or equivalent open-source projects.
• Expert in systems programming languages (C, C++, Rust, or Go).
• Strong knowledge of database principles, algorithms, and OS internals.
• Experience with distributed query optimizers (Orca or similar).
• Proven performance optimization for analytical DBs.
• Strong Linux development and debugging skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain ClickHouse features for real-time analytics.
• Contribute integrations across the PostgreSQL ecosystem.
• Ensure stability, reliability, and performance.
• Review code contributions and provide feedback.
• Write regression tests for fixes and features.
• Investigate complex database and networking issues.
• Optimize performance of analytical workloads.
