Job summary

Littelfuse is seeking a Sr Buyer CAPEX to drive indirect procurement and CAPEX projects across North America, focusing on Piedras Negras and Matamoros, Mexico.

The role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost reduction, and collaboration with Engineering and Operations to ensure reliable supply and optimization of the supplier base. Travel to Mexico is required. You will establish KPIs, negotiate terms, and lead savings initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, SCM, or related field.
• At least 3 years in indirect procurement, sourcing, or purchasing.
• Strong CAPEX procurement and project management experience.
• Knowledge of suppliers and market conditions in northern Mexico.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and supplier performance management.
• Strong analytical skills and experience developing cost models, evaluating commercial proposals, and identifying savings opportunities.
• Experience with SAP and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other procurement reporting tools.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead indirect procurement projects, consolidate suppliers to reduce costs.
• Develop plant-specific sourcing strategies for reliable supply.
• Manage supplier performance in cost, quality and delivery.
• Drive annual cost reduction plans and savings targets.
• Collaborate with Engineering on cost-saving projects.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and supplier initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Mexico’s Indirect Procurement Policy.
• Travel to Matamoros to support sourcing initiatives.
