AECOM is seeking a Principal Engineer with experience in bridges and structures design to join our Madrid team in Enterprise Capabilities - Europe. You will lead bridge/structure projects, coordinate cross-office teams (Spain, Poland, India) and drive design excellence across international standards.

With 8+ years in bridges or structures, you will apply strong technical knowledge, QA/QC, and value engineering to deliver iconic infrastructure.

Formación

• Master degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
• Proven track record of working on bridges and/or structures designs and collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams (+8 years).
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e. AASHTO; AREMA, Aus-Codes; BS, etc.).
• Proficiency in engineering calculation software for bridge and structures (preferable Midas Civil, but others such as CSiBridge are well considered).
• Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.

Responsabilidades

• Serves as a bridge (rail/road) or structures lead on mid-size projects supported by EC.
• Makes day-to-day decisions for a technical team, integrating resources from different EC offices (Spain, Poland, India…).
• Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts and conducts medium complex value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials, construction techniques.
• Categorizes packages of work to be done by EC, elaborates project execution plans and in combination with internal clients defines the delivery strategy.
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others. Approves and signs off on work.
• Accountable for the results of the team and adherence to agreed budget for a specific package of work.
• Delivers effective communication inclusive of internal clients and team members to clarify expectations and requirements.
• Trains, mentors and evaluates less experienced staff (within the Europe GDC or other GDC).
