Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Blockchain Consultant for a global consulting client with a strong blockchain practice. The role is hybrid, based in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, with a mix of remote advisory work and client-site engagements.

You will lead blockchain strategy, design, and delivery, mentor junior staff, develop business cases, and stay ahead of regulatory and technology trends to deliver real business value for top-tier clients.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of consulting experience, with at least 3 years focused on blockchain technology or digital transformation.
• Deep understanding of various blockchain platforms, protocols, and smart contract capabilities.
• Proven ability to develop and articulate strategic recommendations for clients.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of industry-specific challenges.
• Experience in managing client relationships and project deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites as required.
• Experience with DLT and enterprise blockchain solutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on blockchain strategy, use cases, and technology roadmaps.
• Lead client engagements, from assessment and design to implementation support.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging blockchain trends and opportunities.
• Develop business cases and proposals for blockchain solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility and successful delivery of proposed solutions.
• Educate clients on blockchain technology, its benefits, and potential challenges.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to the development of the firm's blockchain thought leadership and methodologies.
• Mentor junior consultants and share expertise within the team.
• Stay updated on regulatory and industry developments impacting blockchain adoption.
