We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable microservices and APIs.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building backend services for real-time data.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and API design.
• Familiarity with privacy and security requirements (HIPAA/GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs for real‑time biosensor data processing.
• Implement event‑driven integrations with messaging/streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Collaborate with SRE to ensure observability, performance, and reliability across backend services.
• Participate in architecture reviews and define service boundaries and data models.
• Optimize backend services for low latency, high throughput, and cost efficiency.
