Roche Diagnostics Solutions is seeking an experienced Backend Python Engineer to design, build, and scale APIs and services powering our life sciences digital products. You will work closely with frontend, data science, and cloud teams to deliver robust, cloud-native infrastructure and data pipelines.

The role emphasizes clean API boundaries, scalable database design, and reliable CI/CD practices in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Python as the primary language.
• Strong API design and experience building and scaling RESTful systems.
• Relational database concepts, data modeling, migrations and query optimization.
• Experience building and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, ideally with IaC.
• Strong emphasis on code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and robust RESTful APIs.
• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Design efficient database schemas, migrations, and optimize large queries.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Promote engineering excellence with automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with UX/Frontend and Data Scientists to productionize ML models.
