Job summary

Capitole is seeking a Senior Back End Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design, develop and evolve the digital platform backend. You will work on business APIs, integrations, identity management, and cloud deployment on Microsoft Azure, primarily using Node.js and TypeScript in an API-driven, containerized environment.

Ideal candidates bring API-first design, domain-driven design, SOLID principles, and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenAPI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend development with production systems.
• Experience building REST APIs and API-first design.
• Cloud deployment experience, preferably Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js/TypeScript, REST API patterns and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services with Node.js/TypeScript.
• Build secure, scalable REST APIs and integrate with internal/third-party systems.
• Implement authentication/authorization with OAuth2/OIDC/JWT.
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Model relational data in PostgreSQL and optimize queries.
• Ensure performance, resilience and high availability in Azure-hosted services.
