Parser Limited, a boutique technology services firm, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our European team. You will design and scale JVM-based services with a focus on reliability, performance and testability.

Work with a modern stack including Java 8+, Vert.x, Kafka, Groovy, Couchbase and Azure, in an Agile environment. You will translate requirements into clean code, write tests, and mentor colleagues while shaping architecture and best practices.

Formación

• Enterprise-level Java development, testing, secure coding and operations.
• Proficient with Azure and other cloud platforms.
• OpenCode experience.
• Strong Java 8+ proficiency.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to scale systems effectively.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
• Experience with reactive programming paradigms.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement end-to-end JVM-based systems with high reliability.
• Translate product requirements into maintainable, testable code.
• Write test-driven features and follow TDD/BDD cycles.
• Apply SOLID principles and cohesive design for scalable software.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to refine features.
• Support production systems, resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers, promoting learning.
• Share knowledge across the engineering community.
• Prototype and evaluate new tools and technologies.
