ruit in Valencia is hiring a backend engineer to scale our platform to 100x today’s load, using PostgreSQL, Redis, PgBouncer, more web and Celery workers, and robust monitoring. The role requires Python in production (prefer Django) and the ability to explain what broke first when incidents occur.

You will work daily with AI agents and must speak English; visa sponsorship is not provided. On-site in Valencia, five days a week at Lanzadera, with a market-rate salary and a €2,000 monthly AI agents

Formación

• Experience with Python in production environments, preferably Django.
• Ability to scale systems beyond a single server and diagnose failures quickly.
• Proven monitoring setup and incident root-cause analysis.
• Daily work with AI agents and automation tools.
• English required for team communication.
• Must be able to work legally in Spain (no visa sponsorship).

We want second-hand to become the first way everyone in Europe shops. Millions of products sold again instead of made new, millions of euros for the people who sell them, and a world a bit better than we found it.

Professional second-hand sellers make that happen, and with ruit they sell on Wallapop, Vinted, eBay and more from one place. Everything they list, sync or sell runs through our backend, and their catalogues keep growing. We're hiring one backend engineer to get ruit ready for 100 times today's load: PostgreSQL and Redis on their own servers, PgBouncer, more web and Celery workers, and monitoring where every alert points at its cause.

In a year, ruit handles a million listings on infrastructure you designed, and every alert says what broke before anyone asks.

We've raised close to €1M from Angels Capital, Decelera Ventures, Abac Capital and Successful Fund, among others, and we're going for €1M in ARR by the end of 2027.

What we’re looking for

• Python in production, ideally Django.
• You’ve taken a system past one server and can tell us what broke first.
• Monitoring you set up and used to find the cause of an incident.
• You code with AI agents every day.
• Working English. The team works in English.
• You can already work legally in Spain. We don’t sponsor visas.

There’s no DevOps-only role: every engineer works across the product and talks to customers; your focus is scale. Lunch together on Thursdays, on us, and games on Fridays for whoever’s up for it.

Qué buscamos

• Python en producción, mejor con Django.
• Has llevado un sistema más allá de un servidor y sabes contarnos qué se rompió primero.
• Monitorización que montaste y con la que encontraste la causa de un incidente.
• Programas con agentes de IA a diario.
• Inglés de trabajo. En el equipo hablamos inglés.
• Ya puedes trabajar legalmente en España. No tramitamos visados.
