papernest is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to own the product technically within our B2B platform used by agencies and their clients across Europe. You will design and implement robust services in Python (Django, FastAPI), with Redis, PostgreSQL, and event-driven patterns, plus CI/CD on AWS and Docker.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, QA and other teams across Europe, drive architectural decisions, and help improve deployment frequency and code quality while mentoring

Formación

• 5+ years of backend development experience in Python.
• Strong Python and Django expertise.
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases; understanding Django ORM.
• Knowledge of Docker and Git.
• Good level of English (written and spoken).
• Ability to mentor junior developers and share knowledge.

You will work in the B2B tech team, which owns the web application real estate agencies use to send their clients to papernest. Agencies' agents can register clients and initiate contracts through this app. Functionally, the team's goal is to increase the percentage of agents handling contracts for their own clients. Technically, they own the app‑pro specific data model covering agents, agencies, and payments.

You will cover various areas like automation of billing processes, data management and integration with many internal and external systems.

As a Senior backend developer, you will be responsible of:

• Take ownership of the product from a technical standpoint
• Work closely with dev, product, QA, and other teams across Europe
• Challenge product requirements and anticipate technical difficulties
• Take initiative in proposing technical solutions
• Ensure state-of-the-art design and implementation with respect to the global architecture of the platform
• Take part in a roadmap planning and take ownership of it’s delivery
• Develop features ensuring unit and integration test coverageEnsure that delivered features work perfectly from integration to production
• Participate in code reviews
• Help in continuous improvements of team practices
• Ability to strategically step back to enhance deployment frequency, reduce the number of bugs introduced and shorten the "lead time for changes"
• Actively take part in knowledge sharing, mentoring of more junior developers and fair employee evaluation

Our technical stack

Backend: Python, Django, FastAPI, Celery, Redis, PostgreSQL, Event-driven architecture (EventBridge + SQS)

Frontend: TypeScript, Angular, Next.js, Vue, Flutter

Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Continuous Integration and Deployment on Github.

Your Profile

• You have at least 5+ years of backend development experience in Python.
• A very good command (or even expertise) of Python and Django.
• Good experience with relational and/or non-relational databases (migration management, performance work, large data volumes, understanding the Django ORM, choice between relational and non-relational databases).
• You have a good knowledge of Docker/Git.
• You know the web world.
• You are passionate about new technologies.
• You are not afraid to take technical initiatives.
• You demonstrate rigor and autonomy.
• The user experience is a product aspect that you particularly appreciate.
• You want to share your experience with different teams in France, Spain and Poland.
• You want to work in a team, give feedback and receive it.
• A good level of English (written and oral) is essential.
