Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Senior Associate in Restructuring & Insolvency to join our British Virgin Islands practice. You will lead complex engagements, manage multiple workstreams, and work with clients, office holders and advisers across jurisdictions.

The role requires an internationally recognised qualification in accounting or finance, at least four years of relevant experience, and strong analytical and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Internationally recognised accounting or finance qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in restructuring, insolvency, turnaround or related advisory environment.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead significant workstreams on restructuring and insolvency engagements, with budgets, timelines and deliverables.
• Analyse financial and operating information to assess liquidity, cash flow, and risks.
• Support formal insolvency appointments including liquidations, investigations, and asset realisation strategies.
• Prepare high-quality financial analyses, reports, and client communications.
• Collaborate with clients, directors, creditors, lenders and advisers across jurisdictions.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and shape engagement strategy.
