Job summary

Q ENERGY is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to oversee a growing Iberia portfolio of solar PV, wind and BESS assets. You will drive asset performance, manage SPV contracts and coordinate across technical, commercial, legal and finance teams in Madrid.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and 5-8 years of renewable energy experience, with fluency in English and Spanish. The position offers a hybrid work model in Madrid, generous vacation, health insurance and flexible remuneration.

Job description

In your role as the Senior Asset Manager you will be involved in the operational, commercial and contractual management of a growing portfolio of renewable energy assets across Iberia, including solar PV, wind and battery energy storage systems (BESS).You will act as the key representative of the project companies (SPVs), ensuring assets operate safely, efficiently and profitably throughout their lifecycle.

The role combines asset performance optimisation, stakeholder management, contract administration, financial oversight and revenue optimisation, working closely with technical, commercial, legal and finance teams.

The aim is to guarantee that Q ENERGY's renewable energy projects are managed to the highest standards!

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of projects from construction into operations
• Manage key operational contracts, including O&M, PPAs and grid agreements
• Drive the technical and commercial performance of the asset portfolio
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, cash flows and operating expenditure

• Identify opportunities to increase asset value, performance and profitability throughout the asset lifecycle
• Uphold the highest Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards across the operational portfolio
• Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements and environmental obligations
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and best practices across the asset fleet
• Ensure assets operate safely, compliantly and in line with Q ENERGY standards

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in renewable energy asset management, operations or project management.
• Experience managing construction-to-operations transitions and EPC handovers.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV and/or BESS assets and solid experience in managing operational and commercial contracts.
• Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required. Any additional language is considered a plus.
