Ookla seeks a Senior Android Engineer to own its Android SDKs (CQoE and Speedtest), collaborating across Kotlin/Java, JNI/NDK, and its shared C++ engine. You will implement and maintain features for millions of devices, ensuring robust APIs and integration with partner apps and internal clients.

Formación

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with Android using Kotlin and Java
• Substantial experience building and maintaining SDKs or libraries
• Strong data literacy: SQL for data, Python for analysis, data-quality monitoring
• Curious about AI and modern engineering practices
• Excellent debugging and data analysis skills

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain network measurement features in Android SDKs
• Work across JNI/NDK boundary into C++ engine
• Introduce AI-assisted tooling with safety and privacy guardrails
• Hands-on involvement in reviews, architecture discussions, and delivery ownership
• Roll out SDK and measurement changes behind feature flags and quality checks
