Kyndryl Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and deploy AI solutions leveraging Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic frameworks. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable AI products from prototyping to production, exploring new models and optimizing performance across cloud environments.

The role is based in Madrid/Barcelona with partial remote options, and requires strong Python skills and fluency in English and Spanish.

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software, data science or similar.

The Role

At Kyndryl, we are helping clients transform their businesses through the adoption of Artificial Intelligence. As a Senior AI Engineer , you will work on the design, development, and deployment of innovative AI solutions leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI frameworks.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build production-ready AI solutions, explore emerging technologies, and help clients unlock value from AI-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Build AI Solutions

• Develop AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Build and integrate AI agents and multi-agent workflows.
• Develop scalable services and APIs to support AI use cases.
• Participate in the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from prototyping to production deployment.

AI Innovation and Experimentation

• Evaluate new models, frameworks, and AI technologies.
• Contribute to Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and innovation initiatives.
• Benchmark AI models and assess solution performance, cost, and scalability.
• Explore emerging trends in Agentic AI and Generative AI.

Enterprise Integration

• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications, databases, and business processes.
• Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, and cloud specialists.
• Support deployment and monitoring activities across cloud environments.

We are looking for curious, hands-on engineers who are passionate about Artificial Intelligence and eager to work with the latest technologies.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
• Hands-on experience with Python development.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions.
• Practical experience developing or implementing RAG-based applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional level of English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or similar.
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings.
• Knowledge of MLOps or LLMOps practices.
• Experience deploying AI solutions in production environments.
