Scopely, a global creator of mobile games, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer for its Forge team in Barcelona. Hybrid work schedule in a creative technology environment focused on AI-powered products.

You will own AI capabilities across the product lifecycle, collaborate with engineers, designers, producers, and artists to ship production-ready AI solutions that improve workflows and game development. Strong AI, cloud, and architectural skills are essential.

Formación

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Experience shipping products end-to-end.
• Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs or AI agents.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, cloud services.

Scopely is looking for a talented Senior AI Engineer to join Forge, our Creative Technology & AI team within Flamed, in our Barcelona office on a hybrid basis.

What You'll Do

Forge is shaping the future of creative production. We combine AI, engineering, automation, and creative technology to build the platforms, products, and workflows that empower every creative team to move faster, experiment more, and scale creativity across Scopely.

As a Senior AI Engineer, you'll play a key role in building those capabilities. You'll own the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered products and services, working closely with engineers, creative technologists, designers, producers, and artists to turn ambitious ideas into production-ready solutions that have a measurable impact across multiple game teams.

• Own AI products and services throughout their full lifecycle, from discovery and implementation to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Build production-ready AI applications leveraging LLMs, agents, automation frameworks and modern cloud technologies.
• Prototype rapidly to validate ideas with users, then evolve successful experiments into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Partner closely with Creative, Production and Engineering teams to understand workflows and translate them into practical AI solutions.
• Drive technical decisions within the team's architecture and engineering standards.
• Participate in design reviews, helping shape technical decisions through thoughtful proposals and engineering trade-offs.
• Ensure solutions are reliable, observable, secure and maintainable by following best practices around testing, versioning, permissions and monitoring.
• Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture by sharing knowledge, improving standards and helping evolve the team's technical practices.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Strong hands‑on engineering skills with experience shipping products end-to-end.
• Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs, AI agents, orchestration frameworks or automation platforms.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, cloud services and modern development practices.
• Comfortable moving quickly through ambiguity while maintaining a high engineering bar.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Pragmatic mindset focused on solving real user problems and delivering business impact.
• Passion for applying AI to improve workflows, creativity and operational efficiency.

Nice to Have

• Experience building internal platforms or developer tools.
• Experience working with multimodal AI, computer vision or generative media technologies.
• Familiarity with MLOps, evaluation pipelines and AI observability.
• Experience supporting creative production, gaming, content pipelines or digital asset workflows.
