Allianz Technology Se Spain Branch busca un Senior AI Engineer para impulsar soluciones IA en BMP Retail, diseñando y entregando backend, APIs y herramientas IA escalables.

Serás parte de un equipo internacional, colaborando con stakeholders para definir requerimientos, políticas y estándares de gobernanza, asegurando entregas fiables y seguras.

Formación

• Universidad en CS/Software/IA y 5+ años de experiencia en desarrollo de software.
• Fuerte dominio en lenguajes modernos y fundamentos de ingeniería de software.
• Experiencia con IA (LLMs, RAG, embeddings) y diseño de APIs seguras.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar soluciones IA end-to-end, modelos de dominio y contratos de API.
• Impulsar desarrollo guiado por especificaciones (SDD) y gobernanza de riesgos.
• Desarrollar herramientas IA, agentes y orquestadores para la entrega de software.
• Integrar con APIs internas, bases de datos y plataformas de búsqueda.
• Contribuir a estimaciones, revisiones técnicas y prácticas de DevOps.

Senior AI Engineer - BMP Retail

About the role

If you are passionate about leveraging Artificial Intelligence to transform the way software is designed, developed, and delivered, this role is for you.

You will join the BMP Retail team, where we are driving the adoption of AI-first engineering practices, Agentic AI, and Spec-Driven Development (SDD) across multiple lines of business. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building intelligent, scalable, and production-ready solutions that accelerate software delivery while ensuring quality, governance, and compliance.

What you do

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities, translating them into clear solution requirements and success criteria.
• Design end-to-end AI-enabled solutions, defining domain models, API contracts, data schemas, decision rules, and policies that serve as the foundation for development and automation.
• Drive the adoption of Spec-Driven Development (SDD) practices, using specifications as a single source of truth to enable AI-assisted generation, validation, testing, and documentation of software solutions.
• Develop and integrate AI-powered tools, agents, and orchestrators that improve efficiency, quality, and speed throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Design and implement robust integrations with internal APIs, databases, search platforms, and enterprise services while ensuring secure access control and governance standards.
• Deliver scalable backend services, APIs, data layers, and frontend capabilities that support BMP Retail products and business processes.
• Continuously improve AI agents, prompts, specifications, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails to enhance solution quality, reliability, and business value.
• Participate in architecture discussions, specification reviews, code reviews, testing activities, demonstrations, and troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
• Contribute to effort estimation, feasibility assessments, and technical decision-making within agile development teams.
• Promote engineering excellence through best practices, documentation, automation, and knowledge sharing.

What you bring

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, combined with 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong programming expertise in modern languages such as Python, Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript, with solid software engineering fundamentals and experience working with AI-assisted development tools and coding agents.
• Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation methodologies.
• Practical knowledge of Spec-Driven Development (SDD), Contract-First Design, or related approaches, using technologies such as OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, JSON Schema, Protocol Buffers, or policy-as-code frameworks.
• Experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions in Azure, AWS, or OCI, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and integration patterns, including API-First Design, Event-Driven Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, microservices, and messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in agile environments and proficiency in English (B2 level or higher).

Nice to have

• Experience applying Spec-Driven Development to AI-powered systems and agentic architectures.
• Insurance industry knowledge and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, DORA, or the EU AI Act.
• Experience working in international and distributed software development organizations.
