E-Frontiers in Madrid is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and deploy production-grade AI for the software lifecycle. You will drive AI tooling across CI/CD, develop RAG-based workflows, and integrate LLMs into engineering processes to boost productivity and quality.

Join an international team working across Europe, with a hybrid setup (3 days in the office / 2 remote) and focus on practical GenAI applications in a fast-growing environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into workflows.
• Solid understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases.
• Experience with MCP, context engineering, or agentic workflows.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving and production systems knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build AI-powered SDLC solutions, including code generation, automated code reviews, intelligent testing, and documentation.
• Develop MCP-based tools and extensions that give AI systems access to relevant engineering context and tools.
• Apply context engineering techniques to improve the accuracy, reliability, and relevance of LLM-powered workflows.
• Build LLM-integrated workflows across CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, structured outputs, and tool calling.
• Develop and integrate RAG-based solutions using embeddings and vector databases.
• Implement evaluation, observability, monitoring, and guardrails for AI systems.

About the Opportunity

We are supporting a leading international e-commerce technology company that is investing heavily in AI to transform the way software is designed, developed, tested, and delivered.

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join an international engineering team and help bring AI capabilities directly into the software development lifecycle. You’ll work on practical, production-focused solutions that improve developer productivity, engineering quality, and automation across the organisation.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced software engineer who has moved into AI and wants to work on real-world GenAI applications rather than purely experimental projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and build AI-powered SDLC solutions, including code generation, automated code reviews, intelligent testing, and documentation.
• Develop MCP-based tools and extensions that give AI systems access to relevant engineering context and tools.
• Apply context engineering techniques to improve the accuracy, reliability, and relevance of LLM-powered workflows.
• Build LLM-integrated workflows across CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, structured outputs, and tool calling.
• Develop and integrate RAG-based solutions using embeddings and vector databases.
• Implement evaluation, observability, monitoring, and guardrails for AI systems.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to identify new opportunities for AI-driven automation and productivity.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in backend or full-stack environments.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into software engineering or product workflows.
• Good understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and LLM orchestration.
• Experience with MCP, context engineering, or agentic workflows.
• Solid understanding of software development practices, APIs, CI/CD, and production systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn ambiguous ideas into practical, scalable solutions.
• A genuine interest in how AI can improve the way software engineers work.

Nice to Have

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with intelligent testing or AI-assisted code review.
• Knowledge of graph databases or knowledge graphs.
• Experience with platform engineering or Infrastructure as Code.
• NLP or applied AI experience.
• Experience building internal developer tools.
